20 Pictures from Skills Development Camp - - 11-24-13

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

Atlanta Select emphasize skill development in players. While winning is important, we do not feel it should come at the expense of skills development and fair play. Thus, from September through January each Fall, we conduct skills development training. When we start forming teams in February we hope to have dynamic teams consisting of talented players who are highly skilled. Talent plus skill = well rounded athletes.

Blake is an all "A" student in First Grade. His lowest score is 92 in Mandarin Chinese and he proudly spoke a few words in Chinese to his fellow Skills Developer trainees on Sunday.
Joe Elston III is attending his third season of Skills Development and he demonstrated  his superior skills during training on Sunday. He is nine year old, a student at Vanderlyn Elementary School in the 4th grade.
The tallest Skills Developers in attendance. They debated on "Who is the tallest?"
The youngest and possibly the shortest Skills Developer. Hey - he can really handle the ball.
Check out 20 pictures of other trainees on Sunday.

You are invited to attend Atlanta Select Skills Development training every Sunday in November, December and January except holiday weekend. The training is to prepare student athletes to be prepared to do well at "Tryouts" for the Spring-Summer AAU teams.
