Tyler Thornton - Hoop Seen - Just Go Select

Kudos for Tyler Thornton, a member of the Mighty Atlanta Select Ninth Grade SILVER Team.  Tyler recently attended a camp hosted by Hoop Seen. The staff writer, Justin Young, wrote the comments about Tyler below.

JY's notes from the notepad from The Elite Preview

The Elite Preview was exactly what the name says it was - a preview to the top players in the state of Georgia. I unload my notes from Saturday's camp and take a look at the players that caught my eye.

Speaking of class of 2017 big men...remember the name Tyler Thornton of South Atlanta. The 6-foot-7 rookie is raw right now but big enough and at the right school to track. South Atlanta has produced a number of quality big men over the years, most notably Derrick Favors and Nick Jacobs. Thornton has the frame to develop into one of the best young big men in Atlanta.

Justin Young is the Managing Editor of HoopSeen.com. He has over 15 years of experience in sports media, including time as the national basketball recruiting editor of Rivals.com and the publisher of the Georgia Hoops recruiting report.

Atlanta Select salutes Tyler who has been a member of the organization for 4 years. He is a hard worker who has attended our Fall Skills Development camp all four years.
Tyler never gives up and strives to excel in all his endeavors, whether in the classroom or the court. This high jumper and achiever earned MVP status in Middle School for the 2012-2013 season and lead his AAU team, The Mighty Atlanta Select 8th Grade Silver team, to earned 8 trophies last season.
Tyler and Atlanta Select appreciate the kind words and the evaluation by Justin Young at the recent Elite Review Showcase. We are confident that Tyler will continue to excel!!!

Just Go Select!!!
