1st Trophy of the New Season - 8th Grade Team SILVER

Atlanta Select 8th Grade Team SILVER won the Atlanta Select first trophy of the new 2011-2012 season in the NAYBA Christmas Tournament. The team defeated the Dacula Elite 63-55. Only 5 players were available for the finals due to holiday travel.

The players from left to right are Justine McWilliams, Herbert "Tre" Jones, A.J. Freeman, Greg Ringer and Marquavious Jackson. Plus Coach Frazier. They student athletes started with confidence. They started the game very confident that they would prevail, played aggressive on every play and demonstrated a relentless style of play which is the mark of a champion.

Atlanta Select goal for the season is 75 trophies as an organization. Congratulations to the mighty 8th Grade Silver team for earning number one. Only 74 more to go.

This will be the last session this year. We will resume on January 8, 2012 for 4 more Sundays. Camp will end with training on January 29, 2011.

We wish all our friends, fans and family a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving week. There will be no Skills Development Camp on Sunday, November 27, - Camp will resume on Sunday, December 4, 2011.

TRYOUT'S - Atlanta Select 3d, 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade Teams.

TRYOUT'S

 - For 2012 Atlanta Select 3d, 4th, 5th & 6th grades teams will begin in December 2011. You are invited to get a head start by attending Skills Development camp, this Sunday,
November 20, 2011.
This will be the last Skills Development camp this month. No training on Sunday,
November 27, 2011.
Camp will resume on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Thus, on that Sunday, tryouts for these grades will begin.
Tryouts for the older grades and age groups will begin in February, 2012.

I highly recommend that you attend Skills Development training each Sunday to get that first look from the coaches. See you this Sunday, November 20, 2011.
