Atlanta Select Presents and Salutes - Dakota Holtzclaw

Atlanta Select Salutes Dakota Holtzclaw. Dakota is a Freshman at Horizon Christian Academy (HCA), Cumming, GA. He is 15 years old, 6'5" tall, 181lbs. His team is STATE Champions, Double A, Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Georgia. His school team, the mighty Warriors, were undefeated last season. and Dakota was selected as "All Tournament Player" at the State Championship in Columbus, GA.

Dakota was a varsity starter, finishing with 379 points, at least 116 rebounds and 55 assists. In addition to be named to the "All Tournament Team" for the Georgia Regional Invitational, he was selected as well, to the JV ASCI, GA North Regional team.

He has played basketball since age 7. His passion for the game is his driving force. In fifth grade, he made the HCA JV team and in the eighth grade year, was the team's MVP. Also, in the eighth grade he was the 6th man for the varsity and scored 96 points. His first dunk was in the 7th grade. This is Dakota's first year with Atlanta Select and he will be playing for Head Coach Tony Burton and the Mighty Tenth Grade RED Team.

TRYOUTS for the Mighty Atlanta Select Teams are beginning.

Tryouts for the Atlanta Select Basketball Association will begin on Saturday, February 4 until March 15, 2012. At that time all Atlanta Select teams will be filled and ready to play.

To find out when your grade is having "tryouts' click on the "CALENDAR" above and see the posted date or click on the "Current NEWS" and scroll down to read about the head coach and other information.

All Atlanta Select teams are competitive teams and play EXPOSURE, SHOWCASE, AAU, YBOA, BCI, USSSA, NSABA and other major youth basketball organizational tournaments. Our teams play Bob Gibbons, Big Shots, Corey Brewer, Brand Jordan, AAU Super Showcase, Peach Jam, KnoxVegas, the tournaments in Las Vegas, the Nationals of all the major organizations and other premiere tournaments.

We believe in "Skills Development", and of course, EDUCATION comes first.  Your educational rating is your ticket to the next level, period.  Good to excellent grades plus being a skilled and hard working performer may provide you a greater opportunity to move to the next level (college) and save your family some money for your college education. Bring your report card and a current copy of your progress report plus a copy of your birth certificate to tryouts.

Tryouts are FREE. However, your parent must sign a copy of the Tryout Waiver form. A copy will be post on this web site for you to down load. Copies will also be at the tryout location. 

All players will have the opportunity to be profiled on this web site in partnership with the "Ballers Bridge" (www.ballersbridge.com) Exposure operations. Please visit the Ballers Bridge web site. 

Our teams are designated by colors or other distinguished titles. No color or team designation indicates a number one team, a number two team, etc. We do not play that. All our teams are classified as premiere and capable of rising to the top. Our coaches work together and believe and practice the concept of
