Atlanta Select 8th Grade Team SILVER won the Atlanta Select first trophy of the new 2011-2012 season in the NAYBA Christmas Tournament. The team defeated the Dacula Elite 63-55. Only 5 players were available for the finals due to holiday travel.
The players from left to right are Justine McWilliams, Herbert "Tre" Jones, A.J. Freeman, Greg Ringer and Marquavious Jackson. Plus Coach Frazier. They student athletes started with confidence. They started the game very confident that they would prevail, played aggressive on every play and demonstrated a relentless style of play which is the mark of a champion.
Atlanta Select goal for the season is 75 trophies as an organization. Congratulations to the mighty 8th Grade Silver team for earning number one. Only 74 more to go.
