Warm Up - Championship Sunday - On a Special Day

The Warm Up for the Nationals championship games are being held on a special day. First Father's Day, First again, Juneteenth. Atlanta Select would like to thank all the participants in the tournament, wish you the best today. enjoy and celebrate.

The TNT from Nashville, TN is in a Tenth Grade semi-final game vs. Atlanta Select RED today. Head Coach Donald Goode will take his team to the AAU Nationals and the AAU Super Showcase.  Their performance this weekend, during the "Warm Up", clearly shows, that they are ready for the Nationals.


The Atlanta Select RED team won a national YBOA championship last season. This year Head Coach Mason has concentrated on playing AAU and Invitational tournaments such as Eric Snow, Brand Jordan and others. Today they meet the TNT from Nashville in a semifinal game. No matter what the outcome, they both are ready for the Nationals.

The LJC Elite from Laurel, Mississippi 10th Grade team made its first trip to the Warm Up and demonstrated on why they are ready for the Nationals. Head Coach Eric Bridges has thoroughly prepared his team and they will do battle in a semi-final game today against the West Georgia Xpress. We look forward of this team making its second appearance at the Warm Up next season.

The West Georgia Xpress is ready for the Nationals. Head Coach Kevin Jones stated that his team does not have that much height but they make up the difference in speed. They showed that this weekend by defeating teams that had more height. Do not rule this team out. They play a semi-final game today against the LJC Elite. They both are ready for the Nationals.

The sixth, seventh and eighth grade teams play in the championships games today. No semi-finals. Look for their stories and pictures of the tournament in the
