Our coaches are interviewed, screened, required to register with AAu and receive a background check, required to take the Positive Coaching Allience course and given an Atlanta Select Coach's Handbook/SOP. Do you want to say cool? He may look cool but he is one of the most intense coaches in the Atlanta select program.His goal is to ensure Atlanta Select in general and his RED team in particular set the standards in youth sports. Year round he is planning and implementing. His team worked at Georgia Tech games this Fall raising funds to support themselves.
They are raising funds to support their EXPOSURE schedule for the season.

Head Coach Mark Gates
Coach Gates and his teams have earned more trophies for the Atlanta Select organization than any other coach. In the 7 years that he has been associated with Atlanta Select his trophy count is over 100. Last season his two teams captured 18, or 18% of the total earned by the organization. The secret to his success is the loyalty that his players pay to him and in turn the support that he gives his players. Players that he recruited back in 2006 or still with him today.
